IT'S A BOY

it's a boy!! the ultrasound went well. he was sucking his little thumb and looked so cute!! james is in charge of coming up with a boy's name and doesn't have any ideas yet. maybe after his test on monday he can start thinking about it. my placenta is in the bottom so i am going to have to have another ultrasound in 6wks. if it has not moved they will have to do a c-section. so please pray it will move up. other than that the baby seems healthy. no twins, so i still have no idea why i am so big. i will post some ultrasound pics soon.

My Nephew is so pimp! And does that tiny lil nose look like his Aunt Candi's...I do think so! Guess he gets that thumb suckin' from his Aunt Cat!!I'm so happy for you and James! I totally cried my eyes out, I've never seen such a beautiful baby.

How exciting. My placenta was like that too with Ozzy, it moved up though about a month before he was born. Boys can be such trouble but wow they are worth it! I'm so excited for you!
Don't sweat how big or little you are! If you are healthy and your doctor is pleased, chilax. You are a beautiful woman!

#3 due in July

We found out a week ago that i am pregnant. sometime in july, we am going to have 3 kids, 3 and under!! i am sure most out there think i am crazy(that ok, i am), but we are really excited. james and i have both always wanted a big family and with #3 on the way we see God making our dreams reality. luther is thrilled and is already wanting to know if he can hold the baby when he/she is born and if the baby can sleep with him in his "big boy bed". we actually were going to try to keep our news on the down low for a little while, but luther has done a good job of making that impossible. so, we gave up keeping it a secret. i have my first ultrasound the end of the month, so i will know an exact due date then. i am about 7 weeks now and not sick yet. please join me in praying that will last as long as possible. i was pretty sick with my other two, but better with pearl than luther, so i have hope this could go even smoother. pearl on the other hand seems to be very u...

Kids’ Update

We love Ethiopia! Celebrating the end to a 20 year war with Eritrea and the blessing of the new Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed!     I'm writing from the middle of our 3rd rainy season here in Ethiopia.  We have now lived here for 2 years and 7 months and are looking forward to our 3rd trip back to the US in 2 months. It can be very challenging living here, but we are ALL thankful to be here and to get to see what God is doing in Ethiopia.  I am realizing more and more that homeschooling has been such a blessing for our family.  It has helped our kids deal with the transition of moving to Ethiopia and of living cross culturally with minimal problems.  They are really thriving. Each child has their own challenges but they're small compared to what they could be.
