We made it!!















We have definitely had a busy few weeks. I am going to paste links to more pictures from each event as i tell the story because there are way too many to post on here. we had a wonderful time at our mountain get away ( http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2056077&l=5303f&id=57504677 ). when we got back home we had to immediately go to close on our new house. we stayed for 5 night in the house and worked on cleaning, painting and lots of other things to make moving in go easier. some of my AL family came up while we were there and brought furniture, cleaned and worked on the deck to make is safe for luther. we also ordered carpet for downstairs and kitchen cabinets and appliances for our kitchen remodel ( http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2056963&l=6eb47&id=57504677 ). when we got back to TN we had less than a week left before graduation and our move. that week was a whirlwind of packing, telling friends goodbye, doctor's appointments, graduation events and making a cake. but, by the grace of God that included a lot of help from family and friends, we were done with all of the graduation festivities and our 26 ft Uhaul was loaded from top to bottom by saturday evening ( http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2057002&l=ef227&id=57504677 ). we stayed with my grandparents that night and then headed to AL sunday morning. we were met here by lot of my AL family who helped us unload and unpack. my parents stayed an extra day and my sister candice stayed until thursday. we are so blessed to have such a wonderful family!!!! so, we have now been here for one week. we still have so much to do, but we are making progress. james even got our veggie garden planted and we took a break one day to go to the zoo. yesterday we got to spent mother's day with much of my family at my meemaw's house. it was the first time in over 8 years i have gotten to spent mother's day with my mommy!! it is so nice to be close enough to get to spend special occasions together.

#3 due in July

We found out a week ago that i am pregnant. sometime in july, we am going to have 3 kids, 3 and under!! i am sure most out there think i am crazy(that ok, i am), but we are really excited. james and i have both always wanted a big family and with #3 on the way we see God making our dreams reality. luther is thrilled and is already wanting to know if he can hold the baby when he/she is born and if the baby can sleep with him in his "big boy bed". we actually were going to try to keep our news on the down low for a little while, but luther has done a good job of making that impossible. so, we gave up keeping it a secret. i have my first ultrasound the end of the month, so i will know an exact due date then. i am about 7 weeks now and not sick yet. please join me in praying that will last as long as possible. i was pretty sick with my other two, but better with pearl than luther, so i have hope this could go even smoother. pearl on the other hand seems to be very u...

Kids’ Update

We love Ethiopia! Celebrating the end to a 20 year war with Eritrea and the blessing of the new Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed!     I'm writing from the middle of our 3rd rainy season here in Ethiopia.  We have now lived here for 2 years and 7 months and are looking forward to our 3rd trip back to the US in 2 months. It can be very challenging living here, but we are ALL thankful to be here and to get to see what God is doing in Ethiopia.  I am realizing more and more that homeschooling has been such a blessing for our family.  It has helped our kids deal with the transition of moving to Ethiopia and of living cross culturally with minimal problems.  They are really thriving. Each child has their own challenges but they're small compared to what they could be.
